The dictionary explains the domino effect as a cumulative effect produced when one event initiates a succession of similar events. It’s also sometimes called a ripple effect. In life when things are going great other great things seem to happen. When you wake up in the morning and the first person you see at home or work makes you feel happy the day seems to continue that way. Sadly, the opposite is true. It only takes one mean person or bad situation to make this go out of control. You get out of bed in the morning, stub your toe on the dresser, spill your coffee getting into the car and that’s just the start of a day you’d much rather forget. These are the times your friends seem to post on Facebook about how horrible their life is.
It doesn’t take much to set the domino effect off in your work or home life. It can be major things or just small things, but it seems once it starts, it continues for a while.
