Are John Pullum’s shows and speeches 100% clean and politically correct?
Yes, John takes pride in the fact his show is 100% clean ( no offensive language ) and politically correct. John knows you don’t have to swear in a show to make people laugh. He also knows that it’s your name behind booking the entertainment or speaker and your career could be on the line. His main goal is to have everyone in the audience thanking YOU for hiring him and making you look like the star of the evening.
How far in advance do we need to book John?
It never hurts to inquire about a date no matter how soon or far away the event date is. You are under no obligation by requesting more information. Some prime dates have been booked 2 or more years in advance while other last minute events book a week or two in advance. Tell us what date you want to inquire about and we’ll tell you if John is available. It’s that easy!

No, in fact clients always comment on how easy John is to work with. John’s contract rider is very simple with very little sound or lighting requirements. We think you’ll be amazed at how simple John’s rider really is. Feel free to contact us for more information on John’s rider requirements.

Where will John be traveling from?
John is based out of Michigan and normally will be flying out of Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). If John is booked in another state just before your event, he’ll probably fly out of that airport. John offers a flat rate fee for travel (airfare) if your company doesn’t want to book the flight for him.
How many nights in the hotel does John require?
It’s important that John is at your event in plenty of time and not exhausted after a long day of traveling. For this reason we highly suggest flying John in the evening before and flying him out the morning after your event. That would make booking two nights at the venue for John the best idea. If the event isn’t at a hotel, please book the room at the hotel where all the guests will be staying. This works out best for transportation to the venue. Flying John in the day before gives him a lot more options if flights are delayed or canceled due to weather, etc. If you fly him out the day of the event and a flight is canceled, there might not be other flights to get on.
What’s the best way to see if John is available for our event?
It’s very simple to see if John is available for your event. Simply visit his contact page ( https://pullum.com/contact/ ) and fill out the form. You are under no obligation when you fill out a form. John will check his schedule and get back to you as soon as possible. If you don’t hear from him within 24 hours, be sure to call him. If you want info right away, calling John is the best bet. If he isn’t able to answer, leave a detailed message including your telephone number. We’d also suggest filling out the form as well so he’ll have everything in writing right in front of him when calling you back.
