Clean, Interactive Entertainment for Corporate Audiences

Corporate Mentalist and Mind Reader in Tulsa, John Pullum

If you’re searching for corporate entertainment in Tulsa and want a mentalist and mind reader who actually understands what this city had to offer a planner, you’ve found the perfect choice. Tulsa doesn’t get talked about as much as Dallas or Chicago, but for anyone who’s actually planned an event here, that’s exactly the appeal — it’s easier, it’s cheaper, and it still delivers.

Tulsa OK

A CITY THAT’S QUIETLY BECOME ONE OF THE BEST VALUES IN CORPORATE EVENTS

Tulsa has spent the last decade rebuilding its downtown into something genuinely worth showing off to out-of-town attendees, not just a place to pass through on the way to the convention center. The Arena District, where most of the convention activity is centered, is walkable, dense with restaurants, and doesn’t feel like the ghost-town downtowns some mid-size cities still have after 5 p.m. As a corporate mentalist and mind reader who’s worked plenty of mid-size markets around the country, Tulsa stands out to me as one that’s genuinely pulled off the downtown-revival thing, rather than just talking about it.

The value angle is real too. Hotel rooms, catering, and venue rental in Tulsa run noticeably lower than in Dallas, Atlanta, or Chicago, without giving up much in the way of amenities or convenience — which matters a lot when a planner is trying to stretch a budget to cover both the venue and the entertainment.

THE VENUE: ARVEST CONVENTION CENTER

Most of the corporate and convention business in Tulsa runs through the Arvest Convention Center (renamed from Cox Business Convention Center in 2025 — worth knowing if you’re comparing notes with someone who booked here a few years back and still calls it by the old name). It’s a genuinely well-run facility: over 275,000 square feet of flexible event space, Oklahoma’s largest ballroom at just over 41,000 square feet, and a column-free exhibit hall that gives a mentalist and mind reader show like mine plenty of room to work a big room without losing that up-close, interactive feel that makes the show work.

For planners, one of the most underrated things about Arvest is how little logistics you have to think about once your group lands. It’s about fifteen minutes from Tulsa International Airport, connected by skybridge to the DoubleTree Downtown, and within walking distance of more than 2,000 hotel rooms and 70-plus restaurants. I’ve worked events in cities where just getting from the hotel to the ballroom eats up more of the schedule than it should, so a setup like this is exactly what makes an event feel effortless instead of logistically exhausting — your attendees can walk from their room to the general session to dinner without needing a car or a rideshare app.

WHY A MENTALIST FITS THIS ROOM

Tulsa’s corporate base is a genuine mix — energy companies, aerospace and manufacturing, a growing tech and startup scene downtown, plus the usual mix of regional sales conferences and associations that come through the convention center. That kind of mixed room is actually where a mentalism and mind reading show does its best work, because it’s not a niche act built for one industry — it’s built around reading people, which works the same whether the room is full of engineers, sales reps, or a nonprofit board.

I get asked a fair amount whether a mind reader act plays differently in a market like Tulsa versus somewhere like New York or Chicago. Honestly, it doesn’t — a good mentalist reads the room, not the zip code. What does change is the pace of the event itself: Tulsa conferences tend to run a little less rushed than the bigger coastal markets, which actually gives a show like mine more room to breathe and get the audience genuinely involved rather than rushing through a tight thirty-minute slot.

BEYOND THE BALLROOM

If your group is staying an extra day, or if anyone’s bringing family along for the trip, Tulsa has more to offer than most planners expect. The Gathering Place, a massive riverside park that’s been ranked among the best public parks in the country, is a legitimate reason to build in some extra time — it’s the kind of thing attendees will actually remember and mention back at the office. The Philbrook Museum of Art, set in a former mansion with formal gardens, is another strong option if your agenda has a half-day of downtime built in. None of this is part of the show itself, obviously — my act is built for a corporate ballroom, not a family outing — but it’s genuinely useful information for a planner deciding whether to extend a trip or build in a spouse program.

BOOKING A CORPORATE MENTALIST AND MIND READER FOR YOUR TULSA EVENT

Whether you’re running a sales conference, an association meeting, or a company-wide gathering at the Arvest Convention Center or a hotel ballroom downtown, a mentalist and mind reader show gives your Tulsa event something a slide deck or a keynote alone won’t: a shared moment the whole room experiences together, and remembers.
